Ananda Valley - The Valley of Joy
During monsoon, hills and forts around Pune become lush green and a fun spot for nature lovers. Recently, me and my colleagues from my office, visited to Ananda Valley near Pune. We planned a day trip, started around 8.30 am from Pune, and reached there by around 10.00 am. After leaving the Nasik Highway, we drive through the narrow road for around 40 mins.
Beyond our expectation, we found the valley green and beautiful. We did little bit of hiking (more like a walk on a slope) on nearby hills. We played team-building games, which were arranged by folks from the resort. After lunch time, to add further fun, it started drizzling. Kayaking and river-crossing (rather small pond-crossing) in the rain was extremely good.
It was amazing to escape from day-to-day life and go closer to the mother nature. After finishing the day, we head-back to Pune around 6.30 pm. Along with eco-tourism, we enjoyed the fresh and tasty food in the day. I agree that they have rightly named the place as Ananda Valley – Valley of Joy.
