The equipments required for mountaineering can be broadly classified in three categories: Clothing, Rock, Snow/Ice.
Clothing:
Ruck-sack, feather-jacket, wind-proof suit, rappelling jacket, balaclava, gaiter, crampon, mitten, helmet, water-bottle, mess-tin, rubbish bag, sleeping bag, thermal-lining for sleeping bag, mattress, tent
Rock Climbing Equipments:
Rock piton (horizontal, vertical, multipurpose), chock nuts, friends nuts, bong piton, descender, pulley, carabiner, jumar or ascender, seat harness, carabiner, rope
Snow/Ice Climbing Equipments:
Ice piton (tubular, warthog, coat hanger), ice hammer, ice axe, snow bar, deadman, deadboy, snow shovel, etriers, snow boot
