Katraj to
Sinhagad", K2S in short, is one of the famous moonlight trek among Puneites. This trek is on the route that connects Katraj Tunnel to the Sinhgad Fort through the beautiful range of hills. The trails of 15 kilometers goes up and down through 13 to 15 hills with the magnificent view of Pune city. The hiking up is tedious but equally rewarding in terms of refreshing wind blow through us on the top. The hiking down is slippery at least through 3 hills and so one need to have good-quality trekking shoes (running/walking will not be useful here). Overall, the trek is good enough to test the patience and endurance of trekkers.
Sharing below an interactive Google Map with complete route details right from AH47 through Waghjai Mata Mandir temple, above Katraj Tunnel till main route at Sinhagad.
