Chowri Khang - Training Zone of Himalyan Mountaineering Institute (HMI)

Chowri Khang, which means, "grazing place of yaks", is a base camp of Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI). This is an area restricted from outsiders in Western Sikkim. It is at around 14,600 feet altitude and it takes around 3-4 days of trek to reach there. This place magically has a bit of flat land  among the surrounding peaks. The flat land used as a helicopter launch-pad and a world highest cricket pitch.
